Upon the return of Britain's Got Talent Saturday night, viewers enjoyed praiseworthy performances from the usual suspects — that is, singers and dancers — but the show's most impressive act was one in which audience members could neither see nor hear the performers.

Following its moving portrayal of one couple's love story and subsequent tragedy, a Hungarian shadow-theatre company called Attraction left the live audience in tears, and brought judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden to their feet.

Conveying strong emotion through their exquisite movements, the troupe created many memorable scenes, which were projected as shadows onto a screen.

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised (a.k.a. Chavez: Inside the Coup) is a 2002 documentary about the April 2002 Venezuelan coup attempt which briefly deposed Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez.

A television crew from Ireland’s Radio Telifís Éireann happened to be recording a documentary about Chávez during the events of April 11, 2002.

Shifting focus, they followed the events as they occurred. During their filming, the crew recorded images of the events that they say contradict explanations given by Chávez opposition, the private media, the US State Department, and then White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer.

The documentary says that the coup was the result of a conspiracy between various old guard and anti-Chávez factions within Venezuela and the United States. (Excerpt from en.wikipedia.org)

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is heading to Jerusalem, Ramallah and Cairo today as the Israeli attack on Gaza enters it seventh day. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is also in the region after calling for an immediate ceasefire and warning an Israeli ground operation in Gaza would be a "dangerous escalation" that must be avoided. As ceasefire talks continue in Cairo, Hamas has set two conditions for accepting a cease-fire: lifting the military blockade on the Gaza Strip and international assurances that Israel would stop assassinations and other military measures. We speak with Phyllis Bennis of the Institute for Policy Studies based in Washington, D.C.
