The famous comedian introduced harmonica player Frédéric Yonnet and The Band With No Name.
Dave Chappelle made an appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series where he served as guest host and introduced musician Frédéric Yonnet and The Band With No Name for a performance.
The ensemble went through three songs, including two originals that will be on Yonnet’s forthcoming album Reed My Lips — “Four20” and “FRéEDlosophy.” Chappelle can be seen throughout the performance dancing with others in attendance as well as cheering Yonnet on.
Having been friends for over a decade, Chappelle and Yonnet first met when the comedian invited the French artist to play his Block Party tour in 2006. Yonnet then served as the host for Chappelle’s Juke Joint series. Aside from working with Chappelle, Yonnet has worked with Prince, Erykah Badu, Ed Sheeran, and Stevie Wonder.
