Approaching their self-titled full-length debut, Prophets Of Rage are armed with new music and plenty going on in the world, for material. “Radical Eyes” is the latest. With a funky nod similar to 1991 Public Enemy classic “By The Time I Get To Arizona,” Chuck and company call for action. B-Real laces the chorus with, “They say we’re radicalized / See my radical eyes.” This song makes the cause clear and does not lower its voice.
“The Western world has created biased structures and stereotypes. Opposing viewpoints and movements are seen as radical rather than diversity,” said Chuck D in a press statement about the song. “‘Radical Eyes’ is the lens everything is viewed through, any life movement in opposition is considered radicalized.”
